A Human Rights Report on Violations in Southern Yemen (1994–2023)

This report exposes decades of human rights violations in southern Yemen by the Saleh regime (1994–2014), Houthi militias (2015–2023), and terrorist groups (2012–2023).

  • 698,159 violations documented.
  • Murder & Injury: 7,451 civilians killed, 28,192 injured by Houthi forces; 1,633 killed, 5,027 injured under Saleh.
  • Arrests & Disappearances: 33,590 people detained or forcibly disappeared.
  • Forced Deportations: 355,659 military & civilian employees dismissed.
  • Political Assassinations: Over 300 targeted killings.
  • Terrorism: Al-Qaeda and ISIS bombings, assassinations, and attacks.

These violations amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity, breaching 58+ international treaties, including the Geneva Conventions and UN Security Council resolutions.
